End of Abyss Logbook: 100% Completion Guide (All 107 Entries)

The Logbook is End of Abyss’s completion ledger — 107 entries in four sections scanned, read, or picked up across the facility. Five trophies hang off it, and nothing is permanently missable: bosses log themselves when killed, and even the NPCs have post-game catch-up spots.

The Lower Levels map — the facility’s deepest floors hide most of the logbook — in-game map capture

How scanning works

Activate the scanner, target the entry, and hold until the bar fills — that’s one entry. Four rules that shape the hunt:

  • Creatures scan from live specimens — most spawn in many places, so the locations below are just guaranteed sightings.
  • Notes are physical documents lying in the world; Data Shards have their own hunt (all 8 shard locations).
  • Codes are only visible while scanning — invisible to the naked eye (cheat codes guide).
  • Trophies: Zoologist (all creatures), Archivist (all notes), Cryptographer (all codes), Defragmented (all shards), and Completionist (scan everything). Bosses and NPCs count toward Zoologist.

The 42 creatures

Twenty-five monsters, four security machines, and four NPCs — the nine boss entries log themselves on defeat, for 42 total. The notable and easy-to-miss entries:

Infected Worker Habitation F1 First catalog entry
Husk Factory East F2 —
Merged Husks / Husk Brute / Latcher / Parasitic Flea Habitation F1 Four entries in one sweep

Soldier C-12 NPC — Comms F1, room right of the F2 lift Post-game catch-up spot

The nine boss entries (Husk Cluster through Fractured Being) fill themselves — strategy for each in all bosses.

Route it once

The clean sweep: finish the story, then run a shuttle loop — Outer Sector (Support Gun route) → Habitation → Comms → Factory East/West → Maintenance → Ventilation → Reactor → Waterworks → Containment → Infirmary → Lower Levels — scanner out the whole way. Every remaining entry lands in that single pass alongside the data shards and cheat codes. Map context for the loop: areas guide.
