End of Abyss Support Gun Location: The Outer Sector Secret Weapon

The Support Gun is the most elaborate weapon hunt in the game — an optional pickup guarded where you least expect it: the Outer Sector, back at the very start of the map. It’s tied to the “Fallen Crew” trophy, and reaching it requires two late-game tools: Explosive Charges and the Grappling Hook — the gap in Maintenance cannot be crossed without it.

When can you get it?

The Outer Sector return route opens once you have the Grappling Hook — earned in the Containment Sector during walkthrough part 5. You can’t backtrack the way you came at the start: the original lift is dead. The game instead hides the way back inside a weak floor in Maintenance.

How to return to the Outer Sector

  1. Go to Maintenance > F2 and stand just outside the safe room — there’s a weak patch in the floor. Plant an Explosive Charge and drop through.
  2. In the room below, head left along the service path — Grappling Hook across the gap — to reach the Outer Sector’s Shuttle.
  3. Back where the game began, climb the two flights of stairs east to the east side of F1, then head east, north, east to a ladder — extend it and climb down to B1.
  4. Blast a second Explosive Charge through the weak floor at the south end of the room.
  5. Fall through the hole into B2 — a lockdown encounter triggers. Survive the wave, and the Support Gun appears on the floor.

This same corridor also holds two collectibles worth grabbing on the trip: a cheat code (Infinite Equipment) and a logbook note, both in B2.

Where does it fit in the kit?

A late-game support option that rounds out the six-weapon arsenal — worth the trip if you’re finishing the logbook or pushing into the optional bosses. By the time you can claim it you’re one boss from the credits, so treat it as a post-game weapon: pair the run back with the Morgue Dweller hunt, the remaining Data Shards, and your upgrade-material sweep — it upgrades at workbenches like the rest of the arsenal.
